25TH ANNIVERSARY SCREENING: But I’m A Cheerleader w/ filmmaker Q&A

  • Village East Cinema 181-189 2nd Avenue New York, NY, 10003 United States (map)
  • Join us as we celebrate the 1999 campy cult-classic from Director Jamie Babbit (Itty Bitty Titty Committee, Only Murders in The Building, Silicon Valley, Russian Doll, A League Of Their Own). Babbit described the aggressively pink and blue world of But I’m A Cheerleader as “Barbie Dream House meets Edward Scissorhands”. Starring Natasha Lyonne, Clea Duvall, and Ru Paul, this satirical romp is the 1999 queer romantic comedy the world desperately needed.

Director Jamie Babbit in attendance for Q&A to follow. Moderated by People Magazine’s Dory Jackson.

Hosted in partnership with our friends at NewFest
